Westbrook blanks Glencoe behind Cazenave


RAINBOW CITY — Mikhail Cazenave pitched a complete-game shutout to lead Westbrook Christian to a 4-0 win over Glencoe on Monday.

Cazenave allowed two hits and struck out six for the Warriors, who improved to 2-3 on the year.

Blaine Beaird went 2 for 3 with two RBI, while both Clay Templeton and Jesse Brittain had a hit. Templeton added two RBI.

The win came on the heels of a 5-3 victory over Oneonta on Friday. Jake Kilgo earned the win, striking out seven and scattering five hits in the complete-game effort. At the plate, Matthew Reaves went 3 for 4 with two runs scored. Alex Perkins went 2 for 3 with a triple, and Brittain, Kilgo and Jonathan Ford each added a hit.

Westbrook travels to Alexandria to play both the Valley Cubs and Oxford.
