Hannah Harris, Takara Blount and the Gadsden City Titans held off the Spain Park Jaguars 37-34 Monday night in high school girls basketball.

After Spain Park (4-3) had tied the game on two free throws with 33 seconds left, the Titans (4-1) ran the clock down in a halfcourt set before Harris got open. She then drilled a jumpshot, and Blount came up with a big steal on the Jags’ next possession and hit a free throw with 1 second remaining to seal the win.

Blount scored a game-high 13 points and the sophomore used her quickness to grab eight steals. She added six rebounds. Harris scored 10 points, Brooke Burns netted seven points and Dajia Williams added 10 rebounds.

Ashley Gaston led Spain Park with 13 points.

Gadsden City hits the road Friday against Sparkman.
